Jeanne M.
Evans
née Lougher

Welcome, I am Jeanne Maralyn Evans née Lougher and a direct descendant of Richard Lougher, 1467.
Who in turn can be traced back to Caswallawn King of Britain 56-55BC.
The Lougher Pedigree has been verified, and even shows a link to Queen Elizabeth II.

My branch of the Lougher family tree is the Cadet branch, signified by the gold crescent on the shield. My research has resulted in being able to trace my ancestors 66 generations, which you are welcome to study.

The name Lougher came about from Richard of Llwchwr [Lougher], the founder of the Lougher family as known today.

He first resided at Old Monastery Grange at Cwrt-y-Carnau on the banks of the river Llwchwr and farmed lands stretching as far as Weobly Castle on the north side of the Gower Peninsular. From Cwrt-y-Carnau he moved to Sker, where he was known as Richard Lougher,1467.

Richard Llwchwr is a descendant of the medieval kings of Glamorgan and descendant from a male-line of native local governors in Roman Britain, the Dukes of Gwent, who were the successors of the pre-Roman British kings, that is, the Old British Royal House of Iron Age Britain, the Celtic Brehins [High-Kings]; a descendance traceable in the male-line 66 generations over 2000 years.

I would like to thank my Aunt Joan Lougher of Baseleg, Garry (sadly now deceased) and Vicky Lougher USA, for helping me with my research. But importantly, David Hughes who has validated and made the Lougher Pedigree acceptable to academia, as part of his research into the most ancient male-line descendance in Britain.
